Gas Leak Prompts Evacuation in Part of Downtown Martinez
Police evacuated an area in downtown Martinez this afternoon because of a gas leak. Officers evacuated the area between the 500 and 700 blocks of Main and Ward streets, near States Coffee & Mercantile. The gas leak occurred when a car hit a gas meter.
